Who is a European Specialist in
Veterinary Dermatology (Dipl.ECVD)?

The European College of Dermatology (ECDV) is a Veterinary specialty organization established in 1991 in response to the growing need for advanced training in small and large animal dermatology.

Over the past two decades, Veterinary Medicine has evolved greatly due to the contribution of new knowledge and increasingly sophisticated instrumentation and techniques.

A veterinarian to become a European Specialist in Veterinary Dermatology (Dipl.ECVD) must have undergone a one-year internship (Internship) at a licensed veterinary clinic or hospital, a three-year Residency Training Program (Residency) at a College-recognized University or private facility and under the supervision of a European Specialist, and have successfully passed a final examination.
